Radar Level Sensors
The SEN-VPLUS-C11 is an ideal sensor for non-contact level measurement in straightforward applications that require a high level of protection. It operates by emitting a continuous radar signal through its antenna. This signal is reflected by the medium and received back as an echo.
Measurement principle
The difference in frequency between the emitted and received radar signals is directly proportional to the distance, which correlates with the filling height. This measured height is then converted into a corresponding output signal representing the final measurement value. The sensor uses W-band (80 GHz) technology with an 8° beam angle, a measuring range up to 10 m (32.81 ft), deviation ≤ 5 mm, a 4–20 mA output, IP66/IP68 protection, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity (range typically 25 m / 82 ft).
What it measures
- Liquid level (non-contact radar, up to 10 m / 32.81 ft)
- Bulk solids level
Typical use cases
- Level measurement in tanks
- Wells
- Rivers and lakes
- Municipal water solutions / water treatment
- Pumping stations
- Rain overflow basins
- Bulk solids in small silos or open containers
Pairs with the DCon Controller (X-412) via 4–20 mA. Specifications sourced from manufacturer documentation.
